My Mind Is Controlling Me!
The older I get the more I start to realize how important my thoughts are, and how it can work against me. No matter what you're doing throughout your day you're always thinking about something. Of course that something is not always shared with those around you, but you're thinking. I sometimes have a habit of overthinking things and situations (working on it). I'm not sure why that is, but I do. This of course is not always good, because you tend to look too deep into things and create issues that aren't really there. I'm being honest, because maybe this will help someone reading this blog post.
For the past two months I've been learning different ways to control my thoughts, so that my negative thoughts don't control me. Yes, this has been a process and will continue to be a process. It doesn't take much for negative thoughts to come creeping into your head and seeping into your spirit. When this usually happens we tend to focus and meditate on it. We give it our full attention and direct our energy towards that negative thought. Always keep in mind that everything around you is energy, which energy never dies. Energy just goes from one place to another, and from one person to another. But that doesn't mean you can't block those negative thoughts from resting on your mind.

You have the power to control your thoughts, and you have the power to create the life you want to live. Knowing that God has given me that power makes me feel like I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. We are creators by nature, because that's how God created us. We are creating life even when we think we're not creating it. For so long we as women have been told that bearing children is creating life....true, but we also create life with our thoughts, words, and energy (positive or negative).
When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is thank God for another day, but also I focus on LOVE. For whatever reason just putting my entire energy on that one word makes me feel at peace. If someone has wronged me I will TRY my best to say, "I love you" in the back of my mind. Yes, this does actually work because I've tried it. This usually helps me to forgive and not become upset. Now, I'm just as human as you, so that doesn't mean I don't have my moments when I chose not to say those kind words in the back of my mind. But I think God is pleased to know that I am trying my very best. I also say, "It's not going to kill you" to myself when something negatives happens during the day, which honestly does help me to calm down. Maybe trying these things will help you, but you have to first want the positive change in order for it to work. If you genuinely don't want the change, then saying these affirmations wont help.
I've also learned through my own experience that the music we listen to shapes the energy around us. I'll share a little story with you on my experience. One day I got a text from person who informed me about someone who had done something very dirty, and it immediately had me heated. I was sick that day as well, so my body was already out of wack. I started getting a bad headache and knew that I had to calm myself down. I began walking and listening to "Happy" by Destiny's Child on my phone. For a moment I freed myself from that situation and focused completely on the words to the song. I started to slowly feel my body become more at ease and relaxed again. My headache went away, and I knew from that moment on that the power of words and thoughts were real.
Don't be afraid to change your thought patterns and try to focus on positive things. I never said the process was easy, but I am here to tell that you will see some changes if you stick with it. You do ANYTHING, and become the more positive woman you've always dreamed of. Don't ;et anyone tell you differently. God has given you the power.....use it my queen.
YOU ARE ROYALTY!!!
