Accept The Challenge

The semester has started and I'm stuck with the most challenging instructor in the Media Studies department. As always, I took some time to read the syllabus to give myself an idea of what I should expect as a student this semester, and what my instructor expected from me. Once I finished reading the syllabus I knew that this class would be a challenge for me, which I despised at the very beginning. She's known for being a tough cookie with no sympathy for your possible stressful nights with other classes, but that's part of being a college student, right?

I went a few hours worried just a little about being able to keep up with this challenging course. Eventually, I realized that this really wasn't as bad as I created it in my mind to be and that I was going to come out better than ever. My instructor requires her students to do above and beyond, which I guess she sees as preparation; however, some students may look at this as malice. Don't get it twisted; when it comes to my other instructors they always make sure their students are prepared for what they will possibly face after graduation. For whatever reason this particular instructor just seems to give no mercy, but that's the way LIFE is for all of us. I know that with all of the assignments I'll have to complete throughout the semester I'll be at least one step ahead of my peers.

We all will have to experience some difficult challenges on our journey, but those exact challenges will be what we need to prepare us for where we're going in life and the situations we'll have to deal with. Honestly, what's wrong with being one or two steps ahead? Your challenges will be your biggest teachers, and will give you all that you need spiritually, mentally and emotionally to handle your dreams. Learn to accept your life challenges and face them head on knowing that you will rise to the top. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
