You Don’t Have Enough Room

Easily we grab whatever it is we think we need to take along with us on our journey. This journey tends to get a little shaky and uncomfortable at times, which is why we hang onto to certain things that bring us comfort. Sometimes we hold on tight without really knowing why we’re holding so tightly. While we’re keeping that firm grip with one hand, we often find ourselves putting in our request to God for new things with the other. God needs both hands to give you what you need, He needs all of you. He wants you to move up in life; not stay in the same position.
Moving up any mountain will require you to release some things, because you can’t take too many things at once. Imagine going up a mountain with your whole house; you will eventually fall and stumble. The higher you go in life, the more you will have to release without fearing what’s to come. We are suppose to appreciate the things and people in our life now, but let those things go when the time has come to say goodbye.
God wants to distribute supplies that we need in our lives at the moment. Once we get what we need from those supplies, then we have to let those things go and allow God to give us something new. When we try to hold onto things, keep unhealthy habits, God can’t orchestrate our lives for the best.
Letting go means making room for your best and trusting God to give you more than you can imagine. God can and will surprise us by going beyond what we could imagine. We have to first make room to receive the best. Trust the process, go with the flow and have fun in your growth.
